Horsemeat found in Dunstable-based Whitbread burgers and lasange

Whitbread, one of the UK’s largest hospitality companies, has found horsemeat in two products - its beef lasagne and burgers.

The products were sold in Premier Inn, Brewers Fayre, Beefeater Grill and Table Table.

Whitbread, who has a main office at Whitbread Court, Houghton Hall Business Park, Porz Avenue, Dunstable, has several restaurants in the Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard areas.

The company had withdrawn a variety of products in January as a precaution after the horsemeat scandal first broke.
