Improving skills of youngs Bedfordshire drivers

Young drivers will be given the chance to improve their knowledge and skills as part of an initiative to reduce road casualties.

MORE drive courses are being held on Sunday, July 31 at Bedford’s Millbrook test track.

The popular MORE 16 course is designed to give 16-year-olds their first experience of driving, encouraging them to be safer by the time they have passed their tests.

Advice is also given to parents about choosing driving instructors and how to help youngsters practise at home.

The MORE Drive course is aimed at 17 to 30-year-olds who have already passed their tests. It gives them an opportunity to drive on a skid pan and experience ABS braking systems, as well as practising emergency stops at speed.

High speed passengers rides are also available with a Millbrook pro driver for parents who attend.

Spokesman Brian Spurr said: “The MORE courses are really popular and we’ve had great feedback from them.
