Jacket fit for an Olympic legacy

Sporting enthusiast Emily Mynott showed off her special Olympics jacket made almost entirely out of newspaper clippings.

Showcasing her creation at Central Beds College, the University of Bedfordshire student used articles about the Olympics – including ones from the Gazette – to make her jacket, that represents the town’s contributions to the Games.

The gold shapes on the jacket were inspired by the new swimming pool that opened in Luton last week.

The gold colour itself represents the Olympic torch which passed through Dunstable in July.
