Join celebrations as Luton church marks its silver anniversary with free fun and entertainment

An open day is being held at St Paul's Church in New Town Street, Luton, to celebrate 25 years of the present building.

The event on Saturday, May 7, from noon until 4pm, is open to all who are invited to share in the celebrations.

There will be a discovery trail, a performance by Luton Choral Society and the choirs of Surrey Street and Tennyson Road Schools, and face painting.

There will also be a display of the history of the church, together with photographs from the past. If any readers have any photos or stories in connection with St Paul’s Church, the organsiers would love you to share your memories. Perhaps you were married at St Paul’s Church, or your children or grandchildren were christened there. All photos and stories will be very welcome and gratefully received, and can be handed in at St Paul’s Church or

posted through the letter box. Please ensure you enclose your name and address for their safe return after the event.

A spokeswoman for the church said: “We look forward to seeing as many people as possible, to share with us in celebrating this happy, and important event in the life of our community church. So please come along and enjoy an entertaining and memorable afternoon, and join with us in our silver anniversary celebrations. A very warm welcome awaits you.”

Admission and all activities, including refreshments, will be free.
