Join the summer reading challenge

YOUNG bookworms will be thrilled to hear the summer reading challenge is about to kick off in Central Bedfordshire libraries.

Children of all ages can take part in the annual challenge, which encourages them to read six or more books during the summer holidays.

Youngsters who read six books get stickers and a certificate, 12 books leads to a wristband and 18 stories will earn a medal.

Children will also receive two Circus Munglers Trumps for the first 12 books, which they can collect to gain a full set of 22 cards for a Top Trumps game.

Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge from July 16 at Barton, Dunstable, Houghton Regis or Toddington Libraries. All materials are free of charge.
