Hassan Azam, 20, pleaded guilty to one count of disclosing private sexual photography and films with intent to cause distress.

He also pleaded guilty to another count of stalking causing a fear of violence at a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on February 8.

Appearing at the same court last Wednesday, he was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and 22 months’ imprisonment, to be served consecutively.

A restraining order was also issued.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Carl Wilson said: “Azam pursued a course of conduct against the victim which consisted of threats to her and to her family, calls to the victim, her family and her place of work.

“He then went on to publish private images and videos of the victim on social media. The actions of the defendant in this case were designed to deliberately humiliate the victim.

“When passing sentence, the judge referred to the defendant as a brute and a bully – something that is clear from the facts of the case.”

The ‘revenge pornography’ offence took place on October 25 2015 and the stalking offence took place between December 1 2014 and November 2 2015. Both offences were committed against the same woman.
