Man charged over Barton Co-op robbery

Stuart Guildea, 34, of Richmond Drive, Houghton Regis, was charged on Thursday (March 1) with one count of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.

He appeared at Luton Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded in custody until May 21, 2012 when he will appear at Luton Crown Court.

The charges follow an investigation by members of the Serious Crime Investigation Team into the robbery, which took place at the Co-op in Bedford Road on Wednesday, February 22.
