Man stabbed after approaching car vandals in Luton

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Trinity Road, Luton, on Sunday night.

Bedfordshire Police were called just after 11pm to reports that a man had been stabbed, it is believed that he may have been stabbed after he approached a group of around five young men who were seen to be vandalising cars in the area.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital where he is in a serious condition.

Detective Inspector Jackie Dadd, investigating, said: “We are investigating reports that the man was attacked after he witnessed a group of men vandalising cars in Luton.

“We’re appealing for anyone who saw the altercation itself, or who either had their car damaged last night or witnessed cars in the area being vandalised.

“This was a nasty incident which has left a man with serious injuries, so I’d urge anyone who has information about it to get in touch.”

The men are described as Asian and aged between 15 and 20-years-old.
