Man’s face cut in knife attack

A man needed 26 stitches in his face after being attacked in Poynters Road in Luton on Saturday afternoon.

The 22-year-old was walking with his friend near the Leagrave High Street junction when they were approached by three men they didn’t know at about 4.20 - 4.50pm.

One of the men said something like “what are you saying” and pulled a kitchen knife out and cut the victim across the face.

All three offenders then made off and the victim had to spend the night in hospital having the five-inch cut in his face treated.

The three men are all described as being black, in their early 20s and wearing dark clothing.
