Following 18 months of planning, the venture between Kids Play Childcare and Mead Open Farm aims to provide the very best educational start and care for any child.
In addition to nature-based play and education within the nursery and nursery gardens, children will also enjoy daily supervised visits to the animals or attractions within Mead Open Farm.
Sue Heast, owner of Mead Open Farm has said: “Having a nursery and pre-school onsite at Mead Open Farm seems such a natural progression and we can’t wait to see children using the facilities.

The modern nursery is accommodated within a separate building, with its own gardens and will cater for children from six weeks to five years of age.
The new nursery comes hot on the heels of the farm’s Activity Day Camps being recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted towards the end of last year. Full and part-time places at the nursery and pre-school are available, with funded sessions also available for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and childcare vouchers accepted.
