Mystery man scoops £250,000 lotto prize

A mystery Lotto Plus 5 winner, known only as Mr B from Bedfordshire, has scooped a £250,000 top prize without ever touching a ticket.

Camelot, organisers of the National Lottery, revealed today how the lucky person won the prize by matching all six numbers in the Lotto Plus 5 draw on May 30.

Mr B was playing Lotto Plus 5 through either www.National-Lottery.co.uk or Play by Text. A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Well done to Mr B, he has banked this amazing prize with just a few simple clicks – he didn’t even have to pick up a ticket.

“If you play interactively we not only check your numbers but also let you know you have won – it couldn’t be easier.”

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or, like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.
