‘No suspicious circumstances’ surround death of exhumed body

POLICE have confirmed that they believe there to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 19-year-old Dunstable woman whose body was exhumed today.

Samantha Masvodza was found dead at a house in Hatfield in October 2009 and was buried at West Street Cemetary in Dunstable.

But the coroner has since ordered a review of the circumstances surrounding her death, with officers from the Beds and Herts Major Crime Unit exhuming the body for a second post-mortem earlier today.

Initial tests, however, suggest that there was nothing suspicious about Ms Masvodza’s death.

A spokesman for Herts Constabulary said: “We are awaiting results of tests which may take a number of weeks however at this stage initial findings do not lead us to believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

“Samantha will be returned to her resting place this afternoon.”
