Appointment for Andrew Selous
South West Beds MP Andrew Selous has been appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith, the newly appointed Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
Mr Selous, who became MP for South West Beds in 2001, said: "I am delighted by this appointment which will enable me to continue with the work I have done in this area over the last four years.
"Making sure that our benefits system encourages work and that jobseekers get the best possible help to get jobs is an urgent priority as is ensuring we build a strong pensions system."
Mr Selous retained his parliamentary seat at the General Election and doubled his majority to 16,649.
