This is to assist keyworkers to get to their places of work with greater ease and to ensure hassle-free parking for volunteers helping people who are self isolating and in need of assistance.

Time limits will continue to be in place for on-street parking bays and the council has asked drivers to respect these.

Council car parks will be open and available for all day parking for keyworkers who require it for their shifts. People are not required to make a payment or display a ticket in their vehicles.

The council's cashless parking system (paybyphone) will also reflect this change.

These arrangements will be in place for initially three weeks in line with the government’s recent announcement around staying at home.
