Jubilee recognition for Corps

STAFF from Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Air Training Corps have been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

The Diamond Jubilee medals are issued on behalf of Her Majesty as a mark of thanks to members of the Armed Forces.

Regular and reserve members who have completed five full years of service on February 6 2012 can receive hem, as well as all living olders of the Victoria Cross and George Cross.

A Beds & Cambs Wing spokesperson said: “The Wing would like to wish Her Majesty good wishes and congratulations on the 60th Anniversary of her accession to the throne.”

The Beds & Cambs Corps received their medals at the Wing Conference held at RAF Wyton on Sunday May 27.

The Diamond Jubilee medals, designed by Timothy Noad, may not be worn before Tuesday June 5 2012.
