Using data from the Office for National Statistics, the company looked at average rent, salary, mental well-being, 4G coverage, nightlife and youth population.

Overall, it found Luton was the 19th best place to live in the UK for young adults and the town gained the number one spot for mental well-being.

The town scored higher than London, which was ranked in 20th place.

Luton also scored high for 4G signal in fifth place, beating out much larger cities such as Manchester and Liverpool.

However, Luton's weak spot was its nightlife - which was ranked the second worst among the top 28 towns after Coventry.

The survey follows data (previously reported here) from PlayLikeMum which revealed Luton was among the top ten best places to live in England as a family.
