A man from Luton was arrested for multiple offences after police chased a vehicle from Dunstable to Caddington.

At around 12.45pm on Wednesday, December 2, officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Armed Policing Unit responded to reports of suspicious behaviour in Lovers Walk, Dunstable.

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said: "Once in the area, a vehicle moved off from officers, after being signalled to stop.

"Officers pursued the vehicle with support from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit until it stopped in Folly Walk, Caddington.

"A 30-year old man from Luton was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, drug driving and taking a vehicle without owners’ consent. He was released under investigation."

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Armed Policing Unit (@ApuBch) tweeted: "This vehicle seen drug dealing by members of public in Dunstable was located by one of our ARVs and then failed to stop. Pursuit brought to an end with assistance of @roadpoliceBCH and driver arrested for multiple offences. Investigation is ongoing."
