Luton shopping centre continues to support Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal

Shoppers in The Mall can still donate and purchase merchandise to support The Royal British Legion's 2020 Poppy Appeal
It is estimated that this year`s Poppy Appeal could be as low as half of that given in a normal year, due to coronavirus restrictions.

Hide AdLike many events across Luton, this year’s Poppy Appeal has been cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic.


Available from The Mall’s Ask Me Point, located in Central Square, merchandise on sale includes traditional paper poppies, 2020 poppy pins, wrist bands, slap bands, zip pulls, key rings and wreaths.
Shoppers can also donate money at The Mall’s Ask ME Point alongside finding out how to donate online.
For those unable to visit the centre to either donate or purchase merchandise, The Mall is using their social media platforms to promote online donation alternatives, 100% of all profits will go towards the work of The Royal British Legion in its role of caring and campaigning for Armed Forces and their families.

Hide AdLavinia Douglass, marketing manager at The Mall Luton, said: "This year more than ever, every poppy counts and with charities facing increased hardship we wanted to try and do as much as we possibly could to support The Royal British Legion.


"Although our usual Remembrance Day plans and parades around Luton will not go ahead, merchandise will be on sale at our Ask Me Point up until and including Remembrance Day, Wednesday 11th November.
"Donations will also be accepted and will be allocated to the Luton Poppy Appeal.”
