Photographer documents 'Lockdown life in Luton'

June is looking for people to get involved with her project

A photographer has created a lockdown in Luton photo project documenting some of the things she has seen as she walked around the town during the coronavirus pandemic. Like many other freelance photographers June Essex found herself with no work during the current coronavirus crisis. But, when on her daily walks she noticed the changes that the pandemic had brought to everyday life, she decided to capture what she saw and create a project, Lockdown life in Luton. She said: “I found it impossible not to take photographs. This will be historical and I wanted to create a type of archive. I decided to record in photos some of the new normal we now live with, the masks, the social distancing, daily exercise in the park and the heartfelt appreciation for all those working in the NHS. Now that I can go further I want to do more and I want to let people know about the project and share what I have been doing. If anyone would like to be included in my project please contact me.” To see June’s project visit: www.juneessexphotography.com/Coronavirus, if you would like to be included in her project email: [email protected].
