Prince’s Trust recognises young star

A young homeless Luton man who turned his life around after becoming involved with the Prince’s Trust has just won one of the charity’s highest honours – the Flying Start Award.

Michael Tyler, 22, of Buchanan Drive took part in the Trust’s four week programme Get into Railways where he learned team work and the importance of a positive attitude.

The former Lealands High pupil said: “I honestly can’t believe I’ve won it. Before I came to the Trust, I was living on the streets and not doing anything with my life.

“The support I received made all the difference and I’ll always be grateful to them for what they did for me. Now I’m in a job I love and couldn’t be happier.”

The Prince of Wales was at the gala event in Leicester Square which was hosted by Ant and Dec, who’ve been Trust ambassadors for 15 years.
