Rapid reading development from Luton pre-school pupil

Zahra Hussain is already demonstrating a remarkable talent for reading and staff at Tots Academy in Luton have been impressed by how confident at reading she is at such a young age.

The four-year-old is currently being supported to work through the various phases of the ‘letters and sounds’ scheme, which will help her blend and segment the sounds.

Nursery manager, Miss Pawaar, described Zahra as 'an incredibly advanced reader for her age'.

She is racing through the reading scheme and tackling vocabulary aimed at school aged children rather than those still at nursery.
