Sponsor an animal at Woodside Animal Farm to help them stay afloat during pandemic
The farm in Slip End is home to over 150 animals
Woodside Animal Farm is appealing for the public to help them stay afloat during the coronavirus pandemic, by sponsoring an animal.
The farm, in Slip End, Luton, like many businesses has been hit hard by the pandemic, and the park manager is appealing for the public to sponsor an animal to help them survive these difficult times.
Diane Fraser, park manager, said: "We were fully closed for 6 months and partially closed for 2 months.
"During that time we relied on the support and the extreme generosity of our customers, friends and neighbours to help us stay afloat.
"We are therefore devastated to be starting 2021 in lockdown with another complete closure.
"It's been really tough, it's not just the financial side, the staff miss seeing everyone daily and the animals are used to seeing people everyday and getting lots of attention, and they're just not getting that at the moment.
"Although on a hugely reduced schedule, the team are still working as hard as ever to provide all the love and care for our animals that they need and deserve.
"But things are tight, and so we're asking for help again.
"We have over 150 animals, and on average it costs approximately £25 per week to keep each animal here at Woodside Animal Farm.
"That provides them with food, shelter, bedding, expert care, enrichment, vet health checks etc.... all of which we are still providing.
"It is a really difficult time at the moment and anything anyone can donate will really help, we appreciate all the support we have received."
