The Mall Luton offers online entertainment for children over half term holidays

"The Mall Monster’s Friends Club" is inviting families to join in with some free virtual fun this February half-term.

Entertaining the little ones of Luton, the free activities will be aimed at primary school aged children and will be available to watch and join-in live on The Mall’s Facebook page.

Taking place from 10am every day during the half-term (Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19) each virtual session is set to last for around 35 minutes. For those who miss the live entertainment, The Mall will be uploading the videos on their IGTV channel on Instagram.

Children can expect to enjoy a variety of entertainment - from having the chance to virtually meet animals, including chinchillas, tarantulas and lorikeets, to taking part in The Mall’s Magic Show!

Alongside the free entertainment, The Mall will also have a range of downloadable fun activity and colouring in sheets for children to enjoy – taking the pressure away from parents who have been home-schooling!

The timetable is as follows:

> Monday, February 15 – Meet the Animals

> Tuesday, February 16– Pancake Fun

> Wednesday, February 17 – Magic Show

> Thursday, February 18 – Dance Party

> Friday, February 19 – Party Time

Lavinia Douglass, marketing manager at The Mall, said: “We wanted to be able to give something back to the local community during these difficult times and know how hard it’s been for so many trying to juggle home-schooling and working from home!

"We’re therefore delighted to be able to announce the timetable of our free virtual half-term events. Aimed at primary school age children, little ones can enjoy taking part in a variety of entertainment from 10am every day during the February half-term.

"We’ll have our very own Mall Monster’s entertainer on hand to help raise the roof with lots of activities planned for the whole week. Families can expect to enjoy making pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, partying to the latest songs and virtually meeting a range of animals!

“Simply head over to our Facebook page at 10am every morning to join in with the fun! The videos will also be available to watch on our IGTV channel for those who can’t make our live sessions.”
