Toddlers join in with our stamp scheme

TINY tots at Dunstable Christadelphian Toddler Group are the latest to join the News/Gazette Community Cash Point scheme.

Our popular target stamps collection scheme allows registered community groups to collect the tokens on page two of the Luton News and Dunstable Gazette every week to fund specific purchases.

They tell us what their group needs and how much it will cost, and we tell them how many cash points they need to achieve that goal.

Once the group has collected the specified amount of stamps, this newspaper will present them with a cheque for the equivalent amount.

Dunstable Christadelphian Toddler Group is collecting for new play equipment, and possibly a bookcase too. So far, the group has around £15 worth of stamps.

The Kirby Road church group has been running for more than eight years for parents with little ones, most of which are aged three or under.

Betty Sage, who is organising the stamp collection, said: “It’s for the mums and dads as well as the toddlers. We have various activities for the children, a slide and toys that they can play on as well as playdough and crafts.

“The main idea is for mums to get together while their children play safely.”
