'Touch and go' as RAF globemaster flies into Luton Airport!

Excited onlookers were abuzz after spotting an RAF globemaster flying into Luton Airport earlier today.

Plenty of theories were put forward on social media about why the military aircraft was in the area.

A Luton Airport spokesman said: "The aircraft was a C-17 transporter from RAF Brize Norton and was on a training exercise, taking advantage of the quiet runway.

"It was just the single aircraft which performed multiple take off and landings, known as 'touch and go'."
