The offender is described as a white male with a very sunburnt face, in his late 30s and around six feet tall. He had short dark brown hair and was clean shaven. He was described as broad and was wearing a dark blue short sleeved T-shirt, dark denim jeans and trainers.

Detective Constable Rachel Lydon, investigating, said: “The offender was unsuccessful in taking the victim’s bag from her, but it’s important that we find out who he is so he doesn’t try this again. I would urge anyone who knows who is responsible to come forward.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC Lydon via 101 quoting crime reference number C/29367/16. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
