A warrant was executed on the house in Cobden Street yesterday after reports it was being used as a brothel.

A closure order was then granted by the court.

It is among the latest activities undertaken by Beds Police’s “Operation Sentinel” which currently aims to tackle on and off-street sex trade problems.

Chief Insp Sean Quinn said: “This closure is an excellent example of the brilliant work the Op Sentinel team are doing to clamp down on sex trade.

“If it matters to our communities, then it matters to us, and we’re determined to keep up the high level of success that we have seen in the first few weeks.”

Members of the public can email information about issues in their community to the team via [email protected]

Anti-social behaviour can also be reported via 101.
