“Officers attended in order to monitor the situation and crowds began to leave the area as the night wore on. We received no reports of any injuries.

“Although restrictions are due to ease again shortly, Covid infection rates still remain high in some parts of Bedfordshire, so we are encouraging people not to become complacent and risk undermining what we’ve achieved so far.

“We know the vast majority of our residents are playing their part and sticking to the rules and would urge people to continue to remember hands, face, space and help us continue to keep Bedfordshire safe.”
