EU Referendum: 56% of Central Beds voted LEAVE
The majority of Central Bedfordshire residents voted for the UK to leave the European Union in the referendum held yesterday.
In total 89,134 residents (56 per cent) voted to leave the EU, while 69,670 (44 per cent) voted to remain.
The turnout was 78 per cent. The total number of valid votes cast in Central Bedfordshire was 158,896, with 90 ballot papers rejected.

Hide AdThe result was announced by the Counting Officer for Central Bedfordshire, Richard Carr, shortly after 5am this morning (Friday) at the council’s headquarters in Priory House, Chicksands.
