Year 5 pupils from the Dunstable School will be learning how the Luton shopping centre is run. The Takeover Day gives children the chance to work within different environments.

Roles they will take on include the general manager, marketing manager and security, they will learn the day to day duties and the importance of each role to The Mall.

Kate Staniforth, marketing manager, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming pupils from Ardley Hill to The Mall for Takeover Day. The children will get an insight as to what it is like working in a shopping centre.”

To fit in with the school’s curriculum, as they are learning about space and time, the pupils will be asked to design a poster of what they think the shopping centre will look like in 1000 years time.

The artwork will be on display in the centre.
