Putting a smile on poorly Lilly’s face

STAFF and children at a nursery in Luton raised money for Lilly MacGlashan and presented the cheque to her family yesterday.

Oak Tree Kindergarten, which has two sites in Luton, chose the good cause as Lilly’s great aunt, Janet Protheroe, works for Oak Tree.

Throughout 2011, the nursery held various fundraising events including a wear something blue day, a sponsored bounce for all the children to take part in, non-uniform days and guess the name of the teddy.

The cheque for Lilly was presented to her and her sister Danielle at the Ashcroft Road nursery.

Lilly, who the Herald & Post has sponsored over the course of her treatment, is back in England after treatment in the USA.
