Return flights for easyJet’s high milestone
Amsterdam was one of its first destinations when it started 20 years ago.
Commercial manager Neil Slaven said: “We’ve come a long way since the launch of our first flight in November 1995. We now carry five million passengers a year to and from Luton to a range of business and pleasure destinations.”
The airpoirt’s head of business development, Simon Harley, said: “It’s a fantastic achievement and comes at a time when the airport is celebrating record passenger numbers and is on track for its busiest year ever.”
Luton South MP Gavin Shuker added: “I’m delighted easyJet has reached this incredible milestone.
“They’ve not only put Luton on the map, but they’ve provided hundreds of jobs.”
