Signposts opens Start Over Shelter

A brand new facility for those needing a safe haven as well as a warm bed, food and shower opens this week.

Homeless charity Signposts’ Start Over Shelter is at Luton’s James Court. It will provide modern and comfortable resources for those in need of emergency accommodation.
Chief executive Kevin Porter said: “We are dedicated to helping people start over.

“Our new shelter is a safe and secure environment which will help prepare those who use it for independent living.”

The charity provides the homeless with voluntary work opportunities in the community, giving them the chnace to learn new skills and meet new people.

This is part of the organisation’s ‘Scrap the stereotype’ ethos which aims to challenge perceptions, build cohesion and show that all members of the community have something to contribute.
