Start the festive season with a foot-stomping ceilidh

LOCAL girl Lisa Heywood (right) will guide you through the combinations of stars, arches, swings and do-si-dos at the Chiltern Ceilidh tomorrow (December 9) at Dunstable’s Polish Club.

The former Queensbury School pupil is travelling down from Sheffield University where she is studying microbiology.

Now an experienced ceilidh leader, she’s also a keen tin whistle player and Border Morris dancer.

Lisa, 19, is not only secretary of her uni’s Ceilidhsoc, but she’s found time to add rock climbing and accordion playing to her list of hobbies.

The Polish Club has a great dance floor and full bar service and is on the corner of Victoria and Albion Streets.

Tickets for the ceilidh are £7 on the door and £5 for concessions with under-10s free.
