Hide AdShe’ll be in Australia instead of Stockwood Park, walking along the beach on Australia’s Gold Coast with an old school chum who’s been undergoing punishing chemotherapy in a bid to beat myeloma.
She says: “I promised him I’d go to Oz if he couldn’t make our reunion in February – so that’s what I’m doing.
“I’m hoping we’ll be able to complete 5km together, even though the treatment has left him quite weak.
“And I’ll be thinking of all the women in Luton who will be taking part and raising money for the cause that is so close to our hearts.”
