Friends and family of Lewis Snow, who died in 2008, are holding their annual five-a-side football tournament to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity.
Wiggy’s Cup will be held at Playfootball.net, St Thomas Road, Stopsley, on Sunday, June 14.
They have held the tournament every year since 2008 and all the money raised goes to the charity that Lewis regularly donated to.
His mum, Jackie Snow, said: “The charity is very close to our hearts and we look forward to raising more money for them.
“Over the next couple of years we are hoping to bring the total raised for the charity to £10,000, which will be a great achievement.
“Every year we all look forward to the tournament, it brings Lewis’s friends together and feels like he is still with us.”
As well as the football there will be lots to do for everyone, from inflatables, face painting and soft play to a sports quiz, penalty shoot out and raffle.
A signed Manchester United pennant, Thomas Cook holiday vouchers, DVD bundles, hampers and dance lessons are some of the prizes to be won in the raffle.
There will be a barbecue and DJ Hanky will be providing the music.
Teams can still enter the tournament, to enter call 0845 2571000.
