Teen girl struck by car and left with head injury in Luton hit and run

A 15-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in a hit and run incident in Luton on Tuesday, (November 13) and police are appealing for witnesses.

The incident happened at approximately 8.30am, at the roundabout of Oakley Road and Roman Road.

The teenager sustained a minor head injury and received medical treatment at hospital.

The driver of the car, which is believed to be a black Honda Accord, drove away from the scene before the emergency services were called and an investigation has been launched.

PC Adam Brown, investigating, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate the driver of the car involved in this collision, and we would appeal to the driver to get in touch with us.

“It happened during the morning rush hour, and we are keen to speak to anybody that may have seen this incident, or may have details of the vehicle involved. We’re appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
