Thank you meal for unsung heroes
NURSES are being offered a free meal at Crown Carvery restaurants to say thank you for their hard work over the Christmas holidays.
The Old Moat House in Luton and the Old Red Lion in Houghton Regis are offering local nurses a free carvery between Monday, January 9 and Saturday, January 14.
Managers John Cowlard and Sarah Webster wanted to reward the nurses as the Office of National Statistics found that more than 88,000 nurses worked Christmas Day 2010, missing out on time with family and friends.
