They’ve got designs on beating the bullies

Children at Beech Hill Primary School in Luton sent a clear message to bullies when 200 of them entered a poster competition.

The imaginative and brightly coloured designs were entered into the Simply Education competition, which gave the youngsters a chance of winning an iPad.

Ideas for the posters were explored in school assemblies, and all sorts of materials were used to create the eye-catching final pieces.

On Friday the school announced that Zeenat Hamnah had won the iPad and Rachel Rissa had won Amazon vouchers. Simply Education, who specialise in teacher recruitment, also donated £565 to the school.

Headteacher Coral Campion said: “We discussed the subject of anti-bullying in a variety of ways so we were confident that the children would know exactly the right messages to put across.”
