Towns to fall silent in remembrance

LUTON and Dunstable will fall silent this weekend to honour people who have given their lives in past and present conflicts.

The annual remembrance service will take place in Luton on Sunday, November 13 from 10.57am at the war memorial outside the Town Hall.

A number of organisations will parade from Park Street West to the war memorial where at 11am a two minutes’ silence will be observed. The silence will start and end by the sounding of the Last Post and Reveille.

A similar ceremony will take place starting in Grove House Gardens in Dunstable at 10.15am with a special Remembrance Day service at All Saints Parish Church in Houghton Regis at 10.30am.
