Long delays on M1 after collision damages road surface
Delays of up to an hour are expected for motorists on the M1 after a collision earlier this morning resulted in damage to the road surface.
One lane has been closed as emergency roadworks take place between junctions 12 and 11 to fix the damage.
The closure has piled traffic back up to junction 14 for Milton Keynes stretching from Luton.
Highways England expects the lane to be reopened shortly after 10am.
