Police hunt driver and passengers after car crashes into building in Luton

Police are investigating after a car crashed into a building in Luton this morning (Wednesday) and the driver and passengers left the scene before police arrived.

Officers were called just after 8am to reports of a collision on Tomlinson Avenue.

A spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police said: "We are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision in Tomlinson Avenue in Luton.

"We were called just after 8am today (Wednesday) to reports that a car had left the road and had collided with a building.

"The driver and the two passengers are believed to have left the scene prior to officers arriving.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or report it via our online reporting tool quoting reference 55 of 8 July."
