Steve Clark, the remaining sibling of the fabulous Clark Brothers, has died. He was 93 and had been living at Brinsworth House in Twickenham, the home run by the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund.
His brother Jimmy died in Dunstable in 2009.
The twinkle-toed tap dancers were from the golden age of show business. They appeared alongside everyone from Frank Sinatra to the Beatles and opened The Sands in Las Vegas, as well as playing Madison Square Gardens and the Apollo Theatre.
They moved to Dunstable so Steve could have peace and quiet to write his memoirs, Living with Legends. Sammy Davis Jnr was their cousin and the book is peppered with anecdotes that could have come straight out of the Hollywood Hall of Fame.
Steve was buried next to Jimmy in Dunstable on Tuesday.
