Two Luton men among those charged with selling weapons and ammunition

Six people including two men from Luton have been charged with selling or transferring prohibited weapons and ammunitions this week.

Five of the men appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning and were remanded to appear before Leicester Crown Court on Thursday 30 June.

Five men charged on Wednesday are:

Muzasser Ali, 38, of Maidenhall Road, Luton, Bedfordshire

Tavian Simpson, 28, of Redpath Close, Leicester

Inderpaul Rura, 48, of Bradgate Hill, Groby, Leicestershire

Jatinder Singh, 36, of Gifford Close, Leicester

Sajid Khan, 24, of Manx Close, Luton, Bedfordshire

Faisal Mahmood, 19, of Maidenhall Road, Luton, was charged yesterday afternoon (Thursday June 2) with selling or transferring a prohibited weapon and selling or transferring ammunition. He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court today.

A 28-year-old man from Luton who was also arrested during the operation on Wednesday has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
