UKCCA Festival of Learning comes to colourful close
THERE was lots of whistling, hand clapping and foot stomping when the UK Centre for Carnival Arts three year Creative Partnerships programme came to a close.
A mini carnival parade, marking the end of the Festival of Learning, circled the St Mary’s Road centre. It comprised more than 150 children, school staff and creative practitioners.
Activities included drumming, singing and rap workshops.
Goldington Green Lower School teacher Chris Loft said: “It was wonderful to see so many children of different ages and schools all enjoying themselves.”
