Visit the Festival of Dreams

The theme of this year’s annual Luton Poetry Society festival is dreams.

The event will include readings by local poets, interactive discussions, interludes of classical musical performances and refreshments.

LPS founder and Luton poet laureate Mary Emeji said: “It’s a festival of dreams.

“Every poet is a dreamer, everybody has a dream . . . so the whole world is invited.”

The event takes place in the conference room of Luton Central Library on Saturday (September 26) from 2pm to 4pm.

> Luton Poetry Society meets at Luton Central Library on the last Saturday of every month. Bedfordshire Lord Lieutenant Helen Nellis will be the special guest next month on Saturday, October 31.
