'˜Wanted' Dunstable man charged with 22 offences

A Dunstable man who was wanted by Bedfordshire Police has been charged with 22 offences after he was found on Monday.

In the early hours of this morning, 24-year-old Michael Berry of Southwood Road, Dunstable, was charged with:

Kidnap (x2)

False imprisonment (x2)

Threats to kill

Robbery (x4)

Sexual assault

Attempt robbery

Aggravated burglary

Possession of a knife in a public place (x6)

Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Assault by beating

Using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence

Theft

The charges are in connection with incidents in Dunstable and Luton between 4 February and 3 March 2017.

Berry was remanded by police to appear before Luton Magistrates’ Court this morning and has been further remanded pending a future court hearing.
