The UK has had a tough run of luck with the weather in February, with three consecutive weeks of rain, hail, and in some places, snow. But, while Storms Ciara and Dennis might be over, the country is still likely to endure another week of low pressure, bringing with it some unpleasant weather.

Here is a closer look at Luton’s forecast for the next seven days.

Monday (24 Feb)

Luton is set to be hit with hail and sleet this week.

This afternoon the gusty winds and rain will begin to calm slightly, ahead of a cold, but mostly dry night.

Tuesday (25 Feb)

Sunshine on Tuesday morning will be punctuated by intermittent cloud, with only a slight chance of rain. But as the afternoon goes on, widespread hail showers and rain become more likely.

Wednesday (26 Feb)

Wednesday will be cloudy and chilly, with temperatures sitting at around 5C throughout the day, but there should also be intervals and a fresh breeze.

Thursday (27 Feb)

Thursday will bring with it sleet showers in the morning, but a clearer, dryer afternoon, with temperatures of around 7C.

Friday (28 Feb)

Light drizzle will feature for most of Friday, with temperatures rising to around 8C at lunchtime, and continuing into the evening.

Saturday (29 Feb)

The hail showers will return at the weekend, with strong winds throughout the afternoon, and temperatures of around 7C.

Sunday (1 Mar)

After a bright and dry start to the day, Sunday will see cloudy intervals during the afternoon, and a moderate breeze.

Monday (2 Mar)

A dry but cloudy start to next week, Monday will bring with it some light rain at lunchtime which will continue into the evening.
