West End concert proves a charity hit

The talented line-up of performers came together for It Takes Two, at Dunstable’s Grove Theatre, presented by local celebrity Louise Dearman, of Wicked and Evita and hosted by comedian Joe Pasquale.

Louise was joined by some of the most successful men and women from London’s West End, including Julie Atherton, Rodney Earl Clarke, Balsamo Deighton, Killian Donnelly, Alex Gaumond, Georgina Hagen, Ruthie Henshall, Hugh Maynard, Sophia Ragavelas, Jon Robyns, Lauren Samules, Niall Sheehy, and Ian Stroughair - plus the East Beds Youth Choir. The show was directed by Ian Stroughair with Chris Hatt as musical director.

Councillor Caroline Maudlin, Deputy Executive Councillor for Stronger Communities said: “Another amazing evening of entertainment with the twist of Joe Pasquale, which had the audience laughing as well as being blown away by the incredible musical talent.

“A massive thank you goes to everyone involved and our sponsors, BIFFA and Stevenage Leisure, as well as everyone that came along to enjoy the night.”

Councillor David Bowater, Chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council said: “It Takes Two was a tremendous night of entertainment and a great way to raise awareness about diabetes, which is my chosen charity for the council, and to make residents aware that anyone regardless of age or gender can suffer from diabetes.”
