White Monday for Luton and Dunstable

Luton and Dunstable woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, and more is expected throughout the day.

Local weather forecaster Philip Eden said the current cold spell will be short, however, with temperatures not likely to fall below -5°C.

He said: “We will have perhaps a rather heavier spell of snow on Wednesday evening, before the weather turns a bit milder and very disturbed (often wet and windy) from Thursday onwards.”

Mr Eden said another cold spell would be on the cards before the end of the month.
